While the remainder people screams about how unjustified L4D2 will be when it’s released, many others who eagerly waits for the arrival of L4D2 knows of one thing that makes the game extremely different from it’s previous one — Melee Weapons.

The last time we saw any kind of melee weapons, there was little to no information being released about them. However, at the most recent event — PAX — the great folks at Joystiq had gotten the Valve’s representative for L4D2 to spill the beans (somewhat, not in a literal sense) and give us some very nice information with regards to the melee weapons that will be present in the game.

Here is the list of melee weapons:

• Baseball Bat
• Cricket Bat
• Crowbar
• Electric Guitar
• Fire Axe
• Frying Pan
• Katana
• Machete
• Tonfa (police baton)
• Chainsaw

Other than that, there are probably at least 2 or 3 more new guns being added to the game, so I guess we’re pretty much well equipped for any kind of zombie apocalypse that Valve might throw at us. It’s a chainsaw for god’s sake, nothing can match it!
