Aoi Hana (blue flower) is one of the animes that is making an appearance this summer. Just recently, the animating studio — J.C Staff — had begun streaming the promotional video through their Aoi Hana website. You can find the link to the video later in the post.
The website features 3 different videos. A 15-seconds television advertisement video, a 115-seconds promotional video and a 38-seconds behind-the-scene production video. As far as promotional videos would go, this is probably one of the few animes that is streaming behind-the-scenes video. Most of the time, we would only see the promotional video and advertisement videos.
Aoi Hana is a yuri manga that revolves around the lives of 2 high schoolers. Fumi and Akira was close friends with each other, until Fumi had to move away. They did not meet each other until 10 years later in a high school.
Aoi Hana has been running in the Ohta Books’ Manga Erotics F magazine since 2004, and four volumes have been compiled and published.
Kenichi Kasai will be directing the anime. Kenichi Kasai had directed the animes Honey & Clover and Nodame Cantabile. Fumihiko Takayama will be supervising the scripts, and Masayuki Onchi will be doing the design for the characters.

If you’re interested in some yuri, you just might want to check this out. Highly recommended for those that had read/watched Kashimashi!
More information from A Day Without Me (whom commented on this post):
I would strongly recommend you check out Aoi Hana when it airs, although I will caution that it is a yuri show – think Maria-sama ga Miteru with less melodrama and more overt yuri. But the two girls mentioned in the summary don’t become a couple – their part is really about them becoming friends again and how they’ve changed (or haven’t changed) in the time they were apart.
