Oh the many ways…

A bear had invaded a Bus Terminal in Japan, Gifu and had attacked about 9 people, mostly tourists. Last Saturday, it seems that the bear has somehow made it’s way into the Bus Terminal and had started attacking people at the terminal.

Happening at around 2.30pm, about 4 men were seriously injured, while the other 5 had escaped with minor injuries. According to authorities, other people in the area have safely escaped the scene while the terminal’s employee had taken up upon themselves to stop the bear.

The employees eventually blocked up the bear in a souvenir shop inside the building and effectively traps the bear itself the shop. It is said that the employees did know that the bear was coming, and had tried to stop it’s advance but they were too late.

With the bear trapped inside the souvenir shop, all the employees have to do is to wait for the arrival of the hunters. The bear was promptly shot dead after the hunters have arrived.

While a portion of people does think that shooting the bear is not really needed, according to some others, the bear must be shot dead to prevent further incidents.

I don’t know much about these further incidents, but trapping a bear in the souvenir shop has just got to be the most ironic thing ever. Imagine having an animal from the wild being inside a souvenir shop and promptly shot… man, I do feel for the bear…
