I’ll be taking you home… to 2010.

Waiting for Bioshock to be released this year?

Take-Two interactive had recently announced that Bioshock 2 will be pushed back to the 1st half of 2010 for a release date as opposed to the original intent of releasing it this Fall. While the game had originally been scheduled to be released around early end of year, the company have moved the released date to fiscal 2010, which can probably mean that the release can happen as early as April.

As of all delays were reasoned upon on, Take-Two had commented that the reason for the delay was to provide additional time for the development of the product”. Probably needs a few more stuff added into it before they can consider it as a proper game.

I mean, Bioshock had been generally well-received by many people and the expectations are rather high for the team that is working on Bioshock 2. Take-Two believes that the delay was a good move on their part, although the sudden change of release date had impacted their financial report.

Frankly speaking, moving Bioshock 2 to the next year could be the best choice. Once Modern Warfare 2 and the probable Starcraft 2 comes out, there’s barely anything left for any companies to take. Modern Warfare 2 is some of the most anticipated game ever and we’re looking at millions of sales on the launch date!
