I’m sure everyone would be shaking in their seats now as the release date of Final Fantasy 13 draws near. While the news is that Final Fantasy 13 is releasing soon — Winter 2009 –, it is still unclear when will the game hit the retail store.
Heck, Winter 2009 spans over quite a long span of time too. It’s not exactly clear when it will arrives into the hands of gamers.
However, Square Enix’s Yochi Wada has recently announced that the release date will be… well, released in a few weeks time. A few weeks time? Good lord, that’s quite a time frame away!
According to the “a few weeks” time frame given, the announcement should happen a little before Tokyo Game Show, or exactly on Tokyo Game Show. I’m placing my bet on happening on Tokyo Game Show anyway, since they can effectively nail down quite an audience simply with FF13.
Of course, like all the previous Final Fantasy games, the first version to be released is the Japanese, PS3 version. While Final Fantasy 13 will get both Xbox 360 and English adaptations, it’s still unclear when the Japanese Xbox 360 will have their fix of FF13, nor is it clear when the English community will get their hands on FF13.
It’s probable, however, that the English version should reach the hands of English PS3 owners in a couple of months after the release of the Japanese version. Square Enix had been reportedly been working on the English version while they were working on the Japanese version.
Mmhmm. My first Final Fantasy game after playing FF6. Brings back the memories.
And no, I haven’t played Final Fantasy 7 or 8. No, I’m not kidding.
