Small advertisement for Dabaru Jei!
The 33th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine has revealed that a new manga, called Double J (or Dabaru Jei) will be launched on the 22th July. What makes this particular manga so interesting is the fact that the manga’s artist is the very same artist that had created 090 – Eko to Issho!
The creator for Double J is actually Eiji Nonaka, whom had created Cromartie High School. However, Nonaka will be writing the story for this particular manga, instead of drawing. The arts will be left to Maru Asakura, whom had first created 090 – Eko to Issho.
Cromartie High School is a rather popular manga in the past. It has received quite the attention, with an anime adaptation, as well as a live movie adaptation. 090 – Eko to Issho, on the other hand, is generally a less known manga, although the manga boasts extremely simple, yet expressive art style. I’ve written a review on the manga, which you’ll be able to find by clicking here.

The outrageous drawing and humour of Nonaka and the generally mild humour yet clean drawing of Asakura. A weird combination indeed!
While the exactly story of the manga is yet to be known, Double J is set to be a “surreal, cute and strange” life of four girls, generally something that we all should be looking out for.
