No, Issac Clark isn’t making an appearance.
Dead Space has been a massive hit amongst many gamers in the console and PC market. Introducing great storyline with great ambience and game mechanics, there’s no way that the developers will give up on such a good game.
Of course, there had been plans to make a sequel to the game, but as for now, the game is receiving a prequel, called Extraction and it’ll be on the Nintendo Wii.
Everyone knows that Nintendo Wii is generally a console that is under the impression of casual gaming. There isn’t much hardcore gaming like what the PlayStation and Xbox series could provide, since the Wii is much more of a family console than a gaming console.
However, we also do know that Dead Space is full of body parts, blood and screams and all sorts of things related to getting shredded into pieces or getting killed, so how can Dead Space Extraction actually be good for the Wii?
According to Glen Schofield, it’s actually an experiment by them to see if mature content is really suitable for the Wii. He remarked, “I’m confident — it is an experiment, but there’s going to be 50 million Wiis out there by the time the game comes out, so if you only hit 2 per cent of the installed base and you’ve got a huge number.”
Of course, there are a variety of other games out there that has some mature content, namely Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and even House of the Dead: Overkill, but these games… I doubt the amount of blood flying around the whole game can match up to the amount that appears in one chapter of Dead Space.
Schofield has also pointed out that they are actually aiming for an 80 plus score on the game, and that will probably put them into the top 5% of all Wii games. HoTD: Overkill has scored 79, and RE:UC have scored 75.
I liked Dead Space and the trailers for the game thus far has been kind of awesome. But is the Wii suitable for all these?
