Definitely One Of the Creepiest iPhone App From Japan

Have you ever thought if you could make a still picture into moving 3D figure? The possibility is endless if that were to happen! You could just take a picture of someone or something then fire up the app and look at the “3D” image reacting to your touch and all!

Of course, this technology is not exactly new, as this particular method of turning 2D pictures into 3D models has been around in the internet for a year now. If you’ve heard of MotionPortrait sometime ago, chances are that you’ll recognize some of the more creepy technology they have developed over the year.

One of the more recent iPhone app from them is called HourFace, which uses the same technology as MotionPortrait. It works exactly the same as MotionPortrait, except HourFace ages the person according to the bead’s position on the right slider.

Simply take a picture of someone, run it through the app and you can get instant results in just seconds! The app can “age” and “de-age” people by decades, so you can quite literally take a picture of your friend, then “age” them to their 80s with the apps! The aging process is usually quick, and all the user has to do is to turn their iPhone up and down, which will make the subject in the picture younger and older, respectively.

I don’t know about you, but the possibilities with the app is just endless! Although I probably won’t be sliding the bead on the slider anywhere near the “old” area, those old portrait really scares the crap out of me!

If you’re interested in this particular app, you can visit Apple’s App Store in the Entertainment category. Costs less than USD$3, an investment worth making, even if you’re using it on a 2D picture!
