Diablo is perhaps, one of the most anticipated games in the world as of now, and naturally, any kind of gameplay videos/information that has relation to the extremely delayed game would be greatly ought.
Thanks to those guys at Joystiq whom had the luxury of sitting down in front of the demonstration computer and have a little waltz with the game, they are able to bring back some rather interesting information for the little hungry ones that are sitting in front of their copy of Diablo 2 while eagerly wait for the sequel.
So far, only a few classes out of the whole cast of classes are revealed to the public, with the latest one being the Monk. The Monk is reportedly to play out how you would when you’re playing a fighting game of sorts. Instead of focusing on one huge damage attack, it is essential that you combo up your attacks for maximum damage. The Monk’s skills ranges from debuffs to attack skills. Sounds like an MMORPG to me now.
Barbarian, the meat and tank of the game is as always so strong. Although the Monk shares some similarities with the Barbarian in terms of the attacking department, the Monk is extremely frail and is not able to take as much damage as a Barbarian would. With both classes going toe-to-toe with most enemies, Monk players would need to make sure that they know when to use what skills lest they get overwhelmed and die in the process.
Of course, all the other Diablo 2 mechanics are making a return in the game, such as the massive amount of enemies surrounding you and slapping the crap out of you. One of the most annoying thing in Diablo 2 is to actually get weighted down with all sorts of special creatures and you literally can’t move away from that.
Other than all of these, there actually a few more interesting points that you might want to check out. Until we get the game itself, which will probably happen in the year 2030, I guess we’ll be happy with looping this video.
