The official website for the anime series of Suzumiya Haruhi has recently updated itself with a one minute promotional video of the upcoming movie, Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi. The one-minute video shows several key events which transpires in the Disapperance arc, as well as several drastic changes in the characters of the series.

If you’re interested, you can check out the promotional video through this link. Under the guise of a “page not found”, the trailer is really inside that particular page and you’ll have to wait a little before the trailer starts streaming. You can also download the trailer via this link.

The homepage of the animated series had mysteriously “disappeared” since Friday, December 18 at 4:23 a.m at Japan Time. The page is then replaced with a false “page not found” and the promotional video for the movie will only start streaming after a little while. Pretty neat way of emphasizing on the “disappearance” part!

This is not the first time the Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi had been presented in such a way. The site had also mysteriously disappeared two years ago on the same date with hints of an animation project for the Disappearance arc. As many light novels would have known by now, the Disappearance novel arc is perhaps the best and most dramatic novel in the whole Haruhi line up as roles were literally reversed. The date, 18th December is also one of the more important dates which the Disappearance arc revolves around.
