Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi Trailer Revealed!

haruhi

If you have yet to know what this is about, basically, Haruhi will be receiving a movie adaptation of the Disppearance arc in the form of a movie.

The official fansite for Haruhi has begun streaming a 30 seconds video of it’s upcoming movie titled as “Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi”. You can check out the streamed video in this link.

For convenience’s sake, you can also check out the video in the YouTube stream below:

Yes, it’s short but it’s better than nothing. I’m definitely looking forward to the movie even though I’m more or less against having Disappearance being adapted into a movie as many details would be left out when they try to squeeze the whole arc into a single movie.

However, I might just be proven wrong as Kyoto Animation has been able to deliver work of exceptional quality. One would have to wonder how long will the movie be lasting, though…

Meh, Disappearance is only one entire light novel’s worth of a storyline. The first season added parts from other novels (and a special guest-written episode) and the second season did 8 repeats of the same episode, to the point it became non-canon (total number of cycles do not cohere between anime and light novel). Disappearance is remarkably shorter a story than the first novel too, on which the first season is mostly based on. I don’t suppose one can fit the entire disappearance arc into 2-3 hours, translating roughly into 5-8 anime episodes.
