Doom On iPhone

igndoomres

Seems like Apple’s really serious about turning iPhone into a mobile gaming platform. Remember the days where you would boot up this MS-DOS application and have endless hours of fun every day? Remember the days where you have sneaked this little game into your office and played it while your boss is not looking?

Well, don’t worry about that anymore if you own an iPhone. You can finally have Doom on your iPhone, and of course, it boasts some of the best graphics that iPhone can ever provide.

However, the bad news is that you can’t play it like the classic Doom. Sorry fans, no more FPS controls for you guys. This particular Doom is actually a on-rails game, much like those that you’ve played in the arcades with the light games.

It is said that you’ll need to twist and tilt your iPhone to aim… and tap the screen to fire. While it does sounds a little weird, I’m sure it’ll work out somehow. iPhone’s Doom seems to be following what Doom 3 had, in terms of how the enemies, environment and weapons looks like.

Now, I can no longer dismiss the possibility that an iPhone with a graphics card could be in the works
