EOY 08 Experience

Animax was there to interview these people!

In my previous post, I’ve mentioned that I wouldn’t be going to EOY08, however, due to some circumstances, I’ve decided to go and experience the event for the first time myself.

And man, how glad I was for going there. Simply put, I personally think that the cosplay quality that was displayed during EOY exceeds the quality that was put up during AFA.Maybe that’s because I didn’t pay much attention the cosplaying during AFA, but the cosplaying during EOY is definitely one of the best I’ve ever seen.

There was a 12 dollars entry fee, but I didn’t enter event itself. There was lots of things to be seen outside the event halls. Props still goes to IFreedom for sacrificing his time and wallet in order to get the pictures. Well, he played a part in dragging getting me to go anyway.

There was lots of happenings, including something which I called the “Naruto March” or something like that. I think that’s the biggest cosplaying group in the whole event. There was about 47 (or so I heard) of them in a group, and their costume were impressive.

There was lots of different type of cosplaying around, some common ones like Naruto, Bleach, D. Gray Man. There were lots of girls in salior uniform too!

Some of the more uncommon ones includes Star Wars (a Stormtrooper appeared, but was swiftly taken out by Darth Vader!), Metal Slug (who would have thought of that) and even Counter-Strike!

There are simply too much for me to mention, but you can count on that the event had a huge variety of cosplaying.

Due to the fact that we arrived rather late yesterday for the event, there wasn’t much time for us to snap photos. There was so much awesome cosplaying that I doubt a 1GB Memory stick would hold all of their photos!

Anyway, just a short display of what’s happening:

Although certainly not as impressive as the EXIA that was running around during AFA, they made it up with the other casts from 00!

Pardon my rusty memory, I remember this is Kamen Rider or something?

Why does this looks so familiar to me?

I’ve got no idea what is this.

KING OF FIGHTAAAAAAAAAAAARR!!

C.D.S works that are on display. Very impressive!

Some pocky advertisement too?

Oh gawd, the terrorists are gonna hit Bliss Garden Restaurant!

On another side note, I need to get myself a camera, seriously.

    @ Fariz Asuka

Indeed, it has been a pleasure to meet up with you, even though the time was kind of short.

And yeah, the EXIA is not really proportional, but it’s still cool!
