EOY 2009: Makino Yui’s Mini-Concert

Besides being a massive event for cosplayers and fans of anime/manga to come together, Makino Yui’s day mini-concert and night full-blown concert is undoubtedly the highlight of the event. Photography and video-taking was not allowed during the evening’s concert, however, so whatever images you guys see now is just from the mini-concert.

During the mini-concert, Yui sang a total of 3 different songs. 2 of them, “You are my love” and “Amurita ” (or Amrita, as some would say) came from Tsubasa Chronicles, while the last one is from her upcoming single, “Fuwa Fuwa ♪“, which will be making it’s debut in Japan on the 3rd March 2010. Being able to listen to the upcoming song before it was even released is a great surprise, and I’m sure many people had entirely enjoyed the short 15-20 minutes that Yui was on stage.

There would also be a concert post later too. The concert is simply too awesome as it held a number of pleasant surprises that neither the audience, nor the manager(s) of Yui’s knows about it at all! More pictures after the break!

If you haven’t, you might also want to check out the interview that NotCliche had done. It was a rare chance for us to speak to Yui herself, and it was a great experience indeed!

Hey uhm, I think it’s Amrita, not Amurita ^^”

Come to think of it, I’ve got no idea to take…

I’ve been seeing both spellings everywhere (and it’s spelt as Amurita on my playlist), so I’m a little confused on what it is really.

But yeah, if the official spelling goes as “Amrita”, then I guess it’s that!
