Fashionable Japanese

Even while the whole country is being affected by the recent H1N1 virus going around, it would seem that Japanese people are as fashionable with flu masks as they are without.

Looking through some photos, Japanese people do have a way to get around even the most ugly of things. As you would have probably know of, H1N1 (or Swine Flu for some) has been circulating around in Japan for sometime now. Almost everyone that are on the streets are wearing flu masks.

Of course, everyone has the impression that flu masks are extremely ugly. What’s so fashionable about flu masks anyway? To know the reason, you’ll have to ask a Japanese, not me.

Flu Masks in Japan comes in a huge variety, ranging from patterns designs to even animation character designs. One such animation character design is a flu mask that is specifically designed for kids, which has Pokemon characters imprinted on it. Pikachu will definitely save you from Swine Flu!

While Flu Mask does give a certain degree of protection, it is not known if these colourful/fashionable masks are actually effective or not…
