Alien versus Predator may be old, but it still has a lot of punch pack along with it. During Feburary, SEGA has announced that they are working on a title, named Alien versus Predator3, which is a much anticipated sequel for Alien versus Predator 2, which was released several years back.
From the screenshots that several magazines have collected (and credits to friendly folks who had scanned and put it online), AvP3 can be expected to be released somewhere Spring 2010. Like the previous game, the game will also feature a 3 way single player experience, where players will be able to choose which faction they want to start off with. The game will take place 30 years after the whole events that happened in AvP2.
And of course, multiplayer will be available. Oh, the countless ways of killing each others.
Here’s a short introduction that Nuts Magazine used to describe AvP3:
Yes, the movies have become increasingly pony, but the Aliens vs Predator games have always rocked hard, so a new one (out spring 2010-ish) is a reason to rejoice. Set 30 years after the brilliant Aliens movie, the game’s set on an earth-like planet that’s been colonised by the wily-headed ETs. So while colonial marines fight to put down the bitey threat, Predators arrive for their idea of the premier league. And you get to choose which race of angry Xenomorph you want to play. So you can expect three species-specific single-player campaigns, plus three-way Alien vs Predator vs Human online multi-player dust ups. Which is, like, totally cool!
AvP2 was extremely fun, and there was a co-op modification for the game, and that made the game even more fun! I remember being a Marine with Ziddy and Revo, and we literally ripped the Aliens to shreds with our Pulse Rifles. Man, those were the times.
Death to Aliens and Predators!
