Take that, Jin!

Announced a little less than a week ago, Famitsu has recently secured some game screens of the arcade turned console turned portable game. The game promises to have all the content that BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger has (fighters, music, stages) and even an extra mode called the Legion mode. It is also mentioned that all 12 characters that is available in Calamity Trigger will all receive Unlimited forms of themselves.

Unlimited Litchi? Interesting.

Not only will the PSP port support all the features Calamity Trigger has, it will also feature a 4-player ad-hoc multiplayer networking where players could link up together (like how Xbox Live or PSN does it) and duke it out by turns. The Legion mode is a little fuzzy as of now, but it’s basically moving your own army to attack the enemy’s army in a one-on-one fight. Not quite sure how it’ll turn out, but it’s still a feature nonetheless.

You can also drop by Famitsu’s website for more screen grabs if you’re interested.

Zei! Zei! Zei!

To be honest, the graphics for the portable version looks too lacking. Extremely pixelated graphics for the fighters, although the background still looks pretty okay. The graphical department has indeed taken a huge hit, but Arcs System Works had apparently said that the game is actually the better version when compared between the console version and the PSP version. It should be expected anyway, seeing that you can’t really expect the PSP to have extremely good graphics when it’s a relatively weak machine to begin with.

Certainly, the lack of good graphics that BlazBlue originally had is a turn off for some players, but I’m sure hardcore BlazBlue players will still pick this up despite the graphical tone downs. BlazBlue is too fun to resist!
