Famous for it’s (somewhat) flying loli actions, a second season of Strike Witches have been announced by Gonzo. The new season will be titled as “Strike Witches 2 – Ki“.

Strike Witches revolves around teenage girls that are generally, moe anthropomorphism of military planes that existed in the 20th century. These teenagers fight to protect the world using a combination of magic and technology against an enigmatic Neuroi, which began an invasion of unprecedented scale on human territory in the year 1939.

The weapons of the Neuroi mostly take on forms similar to aircraft, therefore the Strike Witch equips a special item onto their legs, called a “Striker Unit” which allows them to fly, as well as using their magical potentials to use abilities that no normal human could.

The second season of Strike Witches will have the same staff working on it, so I guess we’ll can expect the same quality of work from them all.

Of course, like the first season, the second season of Strike Witches will be animated by Gonzo, who has more or less depended heavily on this series. With the recent restructuring of Gonzo, Gonzo had decided that they will reduce their annual anime output from 8 to 4, and Strike Witches being one of the four that are on-going. Guess that tells how important that this series is to them.

So, I guess there’s more pantsu and loli fest coming our way?
