Still remember the newly formed Anti-Groping Police Force that is formed in Saitama? It seems that their Tokyo counterpart’s campaign of stopping gropers on trains are actually returning impressive results!
It is announced that more than 3,000 officers were mobilized during the whole week of campaign, and a total of 31 culprits were apprehended. The officers were patrolling between 200 different train stations in Tokyo. Out of the 31 caught, it seems that 15 of them are repeated offenders. Someone sounds a little desperate, perhaps?
The culprits are all males and their age usually ranges from 16 to 67. The crimes committed are usually groping and upskirts, as well as others.
According to the statistics for the campaign, the victims are usually within the 15 to 52 (what the hell, aged 52?) age group and are usually women. Usually… because during the course of the campaign, one of the victim is actually a male dressed in women’s clothing.
Having the Police onto you is bad enough, but attacking the wrong gender? I can imagine the shock on the groper’s face. I can totally do.
