Haruhi Need Not Worry About Her Fate

Not going anywhere anytime soon.

While the Endless Eight drama still rages on and the Internet wondering of the direction where Haruhi is heading, it seems that there’s really no need for anyone to be worried about how Haruhi is going to keep herself… well, competitive in the anime industry.

With the newest OP album being released on Wednesday, the numbers for the amounts of CDs sold had reached the one million mark. Spanning over a total of 25 different albums, Haruhi has been in your computer, singing from your media player since 2006.

The first album for Haruhi is the OP for the first season, named “Bouken Deshou? Deshou?” and had achieved extremely good sales figures for a single. Then there were several other albums, such as the all-popular Hare Hare Yukai album, as well as the 9 different character song albums that features their respectively characters having a different take on Hare Hare Yukai.

Out of all the albums released, Suzumiya Haruhi no Tsumeawase had performed extremely well, fetching a good 200,000 total sales. The character song albums alone have also achieved quite an considerable amount of sales of about 100,000.

The most recent one is “Super Driver”, something that we’re probably familiar with. Of course, while I don’t exactly predict this particular OP album to be overtaking “Bouken Deshou? Deshou?” anytime soon, at least we’re sure that Haruhi won’t go anywhere anytime soon due to the awesome Eightless Eight.

I mean, they are milking otakus with all sorts of products, not just limited to CDs! Some products are as ridiculous as it gets, such as tissue papers (they do think of your needs) to all sorts of other daily household stuff.

Haruhi’s killing herself with the Endless Eight arc? Pfft! Not going to happen!
