Haruhi Re-run’s 8th Episode Listed As New Episode

While there’s no definite say as of when does Haruhi’s second season may actually come out, it would seem that there might be something worth looking out for in the re-run of the first season.

According to the broadcast schedule for the TV Wakayama station, the 8th episode of the re-run series will feature “Sasa no Rhapsody (Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody)” on the 24th of May.

The original run for Haruhi had Episode 8 as something else (whose title I’ve forgotten about), something to do with a detective case, as well as a mysterious island. This time round, however, it would seem that a whole new episode will actually be aired. Well, assuming that the schedule is actually correct.

There had been cases where the schedule was off and was rather inaccurate, as during the first episode of the re-run, there had been confusion between the schedule for the first season. Some stations had listed “Mikuru Asahina’s Adventure Episode 00” as the first episode, but “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I” was aired instead.

If anything, this might mean something rather interesting. I wouldn’t count on a second season anytime soon though, but hey, if a re-run has new episodes, it might warrant a watch!
