The free EVA-EXTRA02 paper magazine had release information that the upcoming Evangelion movie’s theme song will feature the Japanese-American pop artist, Hikaru Utada.

Hikaru Utada had performed theme songs for many video games, with Kingdom Hearts probably being the most. The title for the theme song for Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance has yet to be announced.

Utada had also performed two songs for Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone which are used in both the trailer as well as the film itself.

Other than the movie itself, it would seem that companies are looking at another direction to generate revenue, even if it’s a little weird.

I wouldn’t really fancy such a colour theme…

Pairs of official EVA-supernova01: Unit 01 Model” will be offer for sale in Japan on the 12th of August. While there had been no information as of what makes these shoes so special, there’s no denying that Evangelion fans would somehow or another pick this pair of shoes up. The shoes costs about 12,000 yen and comes in 3 different sizes. More information on the webpage that follows:

And oh, if you’re wondering if the shoes are actually good, this particular pair of shoes is actually a jointed project by ABC-Mart, Kings Record and Achilles Shoes. So, I guess it’s probably an assured quality, or somewhere along that line.
