It’s Official: Blizzard Says No Diablo 3 In 2010

It shouldn’t come as a surprise for many, seeing that Blizzard games are usually the games that gets delayed over and over again. What people would be interested though is when exactly Diablo 3 would be released.

Blizzard’s Rob Pardo had recently told Techland that they have no immediate release date for their Diablo 3 as of yet, and that they “always announce their ways way too early” and it’s definitely safe to say that “Diablo 3 will not be released next year”.

Sorry Diablo fans, you might need to find your own fix of Diablo-like game somewhere else in 2010.

However, if it does console any Diablo fans out there, Blizzard did give a vague time frame of which when Diablo 3 will be released. Apparently, it was revealed that Diablo 3 will be released in a “next few years” following the release of Starcraft 2. If Blizzard doesn’t want Starcraft to be taking all the limelight, then Blizzard would probably release Diablo 3 before the sequel of Starcraf 2 comes out.

Then again, it’s purely speculations. Who knows? I’m betting my money on a 2036 release!

Bummer about D3 not getting a release this year. I’m pretty much out of games these days but D3 would be a “buy” for me, considering how much I loved the first two games.
