And so, here comes the poor girl that has been abandoned by a good number of people when Azu-nyan appeared in the scene. Yes, the poor, poor girl called Akiyama Mio.
I’m not much of a Mio fan, but I still somewhat pity her. At least she has Ritsu to… uhm… play… with. Uh, yeah, right. Play with! Well, fans shouldn’t feel so down just because Mio had lost an large chunk of her fan base, since she is one of the first two albums to be released anyway!
Either way, like the first image song (Yui’s album), this particular album features 6 tracks, 2 vocal tracks that are exclusive to Mio, with the last vocal track being sang by the characters of their respective albums. The album also contains 3 instrumental tracks in the album too.
Here’s the song list:
1. Heart Goes Boom!!
2. Hello Little Girl
3. “Let’s Go” (Mio Ver.)
4. Heart Goes Boom!! (instrumental)
5. Hello Little Girl (instrumental)
6. “Let’s Go” (instrumental)
While Mio is an amazing person (to many), the only good song in the whole album is probably Heart Goes Boom!!
Heart Goes Boom!!, like Yui’s first song, starts off heavily with the sound of Bass. Easily the best song in the whole album, because of it’s fast pace and mature voice from the VA of Mio. However, like Yui’s first song, there’s some faults such as the repeated saying of “Boom“, which is not exactly nice for the whole song. Apart of that, this song is probably the best song of the whole album.
Hello Little Girl is a song that I completely dislike. It starts off with a mysterious feeling, and it doesn’t get anywhere better towards the mid-point of the song. In a sense, it’s a complete opposite of Heart Goes Boom!!, but unlike Yui’s second song, this particular song doesn’t suit Mio if you ask me.
Let’s Go! is the third and last song in the Mio album. Like Yui’s album, it’s basically the same with the annoying “Let’s Go, Let’s Go, Let’s Go“. However, after that annoying part, the song is actually good. The mature voice of Mio is soothing to the ears in comparsion of Yui’s sharp voice, which in turn, made this song much more enjoyable when sang by Mio. There are times, however, you can really hear the forced “mature” voice of Mio. It’s probably just me.
Mio’s album is generally decent, to say the least. While I still think Yui’s album is far better because I simply enjoy all the songs in Yui’s album, Mio’s album is still great.
With only 2 albums released thus far, we can probably expect more on the way. I wonder who’s album will be next to be released…
