Looks like everyone’s stunned by the massive display of cosplays.
Seems like I was spot on. While the second red Kampfer wouldn’t be making an appearance in this episode, it’s somewhat close already, seeing that Natsuru’s childhood friend, Mikoto has supposedly received a messenger during the Beauty Contest. Asides from that, this episode is just loaded with cosplay, cosplay and even more cosplay.
And oh, did I mention cosplay?
They even have RPGs!
Finally, it’s that time of the year where the school hurries into the Cultural Festival mood. Lots of happenings in the school, I would say. Ranging from males crossdressing as females to get into the female side of the school, only to get gunned down by the Girl’s Security Force to Bio-hazard happenings with much thanks to the Biology club… yep, Seitetsu Gakuin High is totally into the Cultural Festival mood!
Yeah, we know. Poor Natsuru is forced into a situation where he doesn’t like: participating in the beauty contest against two of his friends. While it’s unlucky for him, it’s definitely lucky for us as we get to see more awesome moments from Natsuru, don’t ya think?
Lookie! Lookie!
The main focus of this episode has just gotta be the cosplay involved. I mean, seriously! Barely 10 minutes into the episode and we’re introduced to all the different kind of generic cosplays that people would want to see! Obvious fanservice there!
N-N-No!
The fight over Natsuru still goes on for Akane and Sakura, and I must say, I find Sakura a little tad more annoying than Akane at times. I don’t know, but I’m slightly inclined towards a Natsuru x Akane relationship more than a Natsuru x Sakura one. Maybe because Sakura looks (and probably is) boring in my point of view. At least you’ve got Akane and her constant misinterpretation of Natsuru’s words. And she’s tsundere too! Plus, plus, plus there!
That was totally unexpected.
Student Council President Shizuku still remains to be as mysterious as ever. She still doesn’t want to reveal why she is messing with Natsuru’s life, but we can probably guessed why anyway. Isn’t it obvious after seeing the above screencap?
Zing!
And yes, this episode also marks the start of the second red Kampfer (that’s right, Shizuku’s partner) which will be making an appearance in the next episode, according the episode previews. As you would have seen from the opening, there’s a white haired female Kampfer which has yet to be revealed. I won’t spoil this for you, but you can probably guess what it is from the episode itself.
Looks like we’ll be taking a break from all the fanservice in the next episode, seeing that there would be some elements of seriousness as we get to see some fight scenes between Natsuru and the new mysterious red Kampfer. Definitely can’t wait for the next episode’s epic fight!
(and hopefully not to get disappointed by another slew of fanservice. but hey, it isn’t too bad to see fanservice, doesn’t it?)
