Oh boy, oh boy! Here comes the genderbending anime of the season!
Recently announced on their official website, TBS Broadcasting is now streaming a 2 minutes promotional video of the Kämpfer anime that will be aired in Japan this October. Featuring guns, cute characters and even some “gruesome” looking puppet dolls, one would wonder how Kämpfer would turn out to be like.
You can check out the streamed video located at this link.
In case that you’ve not heard of Kämpfer before, the light novel series is being adapted into an anime series and will be aired in Japan this October. The story follows the life of Natsuru Seno, an ordinary high school boy, suddenly wakes up one morning to find himself as a girl, as explained by a disembowled plush tiger. Natsuru discovers that he, or she, has been chosen to participate in Kampfer battles with other girls.
In the course of the promotional video, however, it may seem possible that Seno has the ability to switch between both genders, although it’s not clear he is able to control it himself, or is it even true. Maybe a novel reader could enlighten us somehow?
