But from his episodes, OPs and EDs, I think he may be a comic genius, and so may well be able to translate his skills to live-action. I'm looking forward to this. The show's actual director was Tatsuya Ishihara, who also directed all the Kyoto Animation Key adaptations. Yamakan was the "Production Director", which is more of an assistant role. Lucky Star was supposed to be his first show as Director until he got infamously pulled. Regardless, it should be interesting to see what he does with live action.
