It’s like Osaka saying, “KA-BOOM!”
On the 25th April, police have arrested an unemployed 22-years old man, Yōsuke Ida, for allegedly sending a letter that he would blow up the place where the Lucky Star’s author had lived in.
However, according to the authorities, the man had not actually intended to blow up the place, and he thought that he would create an uproar by stating a threat.
Konata’s room, recreated!
Lucky Star’s author, Yoshimizu Kagami moved out of his house last May, and the house taken by the Satte City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, then renovated as the “birthplace” of the hugely popular Lucky Star manga. Now called The “Kimagure Studio Yoshimizu Kagami Gallery Satte”, it features the recreation of the ficitional homes of the Lucky Star’s main character, Konata Izumi, and her cousin Yutaka. The home also features some other displays.
Yutaka’s room, recreated!
According to authorities, Ida had sent a mail stating that he would “
blow up the site recreating the heroine’s room from the Lucky Star manga on April 25.” This incited a tightened security on the 25th by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as they await the supposedly “attack”.
Well, with the man arrested and all, I guess it’s a huge relief for the guys at the site. I mean, getting a bomb threat is really scary, especially when it’s something that is so dear to many people out there.
However, Ida must be pretty damn bored. To think that he can actually think up of this “prank”, as to get arrested over that. I don’t know if I should clap or weep for this poor guy.
On another note, I should visit this place if I can. I’m really interested in the whole recreation thingy.
