You know, there’s a fine line between obsession and fandom-ism. But it seems that this guy has literally brought his fandom-ism all the way to highest possible level.
Enter the Japanese gamer who is known as “Sal9000″. Apparently, on the 21th of November (jolly Singaporeans at the AFA09), this guy had declared that he will be making Nene Anegasaki, from Love Plus as his official wife.
Love Plus is actually a dating sim game for the Nintendo DS. Nene Anegasaki is just one out of three available girls that the player could try to date with.
I wouldn’t know how the world would receive this sort of marriage, but I can probably imagine this as one of the weirdest marriage ever. Holding only the Nintendo DS with his “wife” in it, this guy goes through all the required rituals (MC, DJ and even a Priest was present!) for making a “woman” his “wife”. Well, only that this “woman” is actually a game character.
If you’re interested, you can look at this particular video for a re-cap of what has happened during the whole wedding ceremony, which was completed with friends, relatives and even the media. Truly breathtaking.
