Another week has passed, and another episode of Minami-Ke Okaeri has been aired and of course, subbed! More Minami-ke goodness, if you ask me!
However, unlike episode 2, there had been some minor animation errors that I’ve spotted in the episode, and it’ll be shown later in the post.
Like the previous 2 episodes, episode 3 offers little to no storyline plot, because a slice-of-life anime usually doesn’t have any plots at all!
The main focus of this episode is more or less on Touma and his her family. Of course there will be the Minami sisters, what’s Minami-ke without them? (actually, touma’s family has the same family name as the minami sisters…)
“My pudding!!”
The episode started off with Touma happily returning home (humming a tune too) and when she opens the fidge to find her pudding, she realises it was gone, and the culprit was none other than the one you saw above. Then something happens and Touma appears at the Minami sisters house… and that marks the beginning of another episode!
Either way, I’ll leave some screen-caps as well as captions for your viewing pleasure:
One would wished to be hugged like that.
Kana is smart.
Kana is probably the next Sherlock in the making!
Yeah, Chiaki, I agree.
Oh my, oh my. Three only?!
This is why you should’ve bought extras!
Tension between who shall have the pudding…
And Takeru comes…
With a life-saving present!
Basic math time! How many does 3 + 2 puddings make?
Seems like everyone is happy!
It mean to dig a bunker and hide in there, while firing your gauss rifle at Zergl- oops sorry.
Oh crap, what legs.
Ah, here comes the bad animation part. This part is completely weird to my eyes. Regardless of how you see it, Chiaki’s legs are… ugh. The drawing is weird, and the proportion doesn’t exactly fit. I don’t know, but it just really looks weird to me, like how Haruka’s legs looks weird in Episode 1 when they were talking about Takasu as replacement for the home visit.
What an invitation…
“No one is around…”
Nooooooooooooooooo! Don’t do it!!
I told you not to do it!
Wait… you stole my line!
Be ready to suffer the wrath of Kana-chan!
Haruka’s cooking, sounds nice.
Mmmhmmm, nic- wait… Uchida collasped after eating?!
I bet Netwon got his gravity theory by doing this too.
OHSHI-
Haruka teaches Natsuki how to make sweets.
Ho ho ho. Haruka fans, RAGEEEE!!
Oh crap, no! None of Kana’s cooking please!
Wait, isn’t japanese curry supposed to be sweet?!
…yeah, it happened again.
A new challenger has arrived!
INSTANT K.O!
Kana showing off her superior of nicknaming knowledge to Touma.
And oh, I think it’s official. The OP and ED will stay in between the whole show, seeing that all the 3 episodes that had been aired are the same. OP comes in after one “arc” of the episode, and the ED will come in after another huge “arc” or two “arcs”. Then the show will continue on with another “arc”.
Well, I suppose you guys know what are these arcs about… but then again, you can just think them as parts of the show.
Episode 3 has been pretty okay, but there are certainly areas that can be improved on. Not much laughs as compared to the previous 2… but it’s still good laughs!
Onward to Episode 4! Hoorah!
