Yeah, it’s a little overkill…

Modern Warfare 2 is going to be great game, we all know that. However, we also know that Modern Warfare 2 hasn’t been receiving the greatest kind of attention these days, seeing that it seen a metric ton of problems weeks before it was released. Game leaks, community flaming them over the lack of dedicated servers, controversial level about the game itself and stuffs like that, we can probably conclude that Infinity Ward is definitely not having a good week with their upcoming game.

However, while a good majority of the above mentioned things are more or less the thing of the past, not to mention that it will be difficult to change anything now, the latest trailer to promote Modern Warfare 2 has just probably crossed the line for several gamers.

The trailer, titled as “Fight Against Grenade Spam” can actually be acronym’d into something… well, you should probably figure out that. Following that discovery by the general gaming populace, what is supposed to be a funny trailer turned against them as rage spreaded through out the internet. Infinity Ward quickly reacted to this by pulling the trailer off their YouTube channel. However, due to some considerate people, you can still check out the video here.

However, it seems that the rage isn’t all about that acroym. If you listen closely to the video, you’ll hear several terms that are used frequently terms such as “grenade spams are for pussies” and other stuffs by the online gaming community. Due to this, many people believed that Infinity Ward is catering to the vile trash-talk that is frequent in the game called Modern Warfare. To be completely honest here though, the acroym should’ve made a bigger impact than what audience the trailer is trying to attract, but hey, I could at the other side of the moon when it comes to this…
