Yes, we know. Modern Warfare 2 is undoubtedly the biggest hitting game of last year and it has since racked in millions and even billion dollars worth of sales. However, while Modern Warfare 2 is indeed a great success in it’s own right, do you know that the advertisement cost for the game is four times the production cost?

As stated in the chart above (it’s really a comparison chart between Avatar and Modern Warfare 2) you can make out that the production cost of Modern Warfare is just a low 50million in comparison to the high 230million incurred by Avatar. But the advertisement cost? Oh, lookie! Modern Warfare 2 used 200million for advertisement alone!

However, when it comes down to profits made, Avatar totally wins Modern Warfare 2 by the amount it used to advertise the game. Not surprising, seeing Avatar is one of the greatest films ever.

But the ultimate winner? Blizzard’s World of Warcraft. Look at it, 100 million earned per month? That’s insane!
