This isn’t exactly news, since there were rumours that some Pokemon games will be getting a remake.
They were right, and the games to be receiving a face lift will be Pokemon Gold Version and Silver Version.
Arguably the best versions in all of Pokemon hand held series, I’m really looking forward to the remakes of the game. Gold and Silver will be receiving a new name as well, namely Heart Gold and Soul Silver respectively.
Gold and Silver have gained massive popularity with many gamers as the gameplay is a lot more massive than the others that has been released by Nintendo. Not just limited to one region, players could travel to yet another region after they have completed the game, and fight another 8 Gym Masters in the other region. This allows players to continue to play, even after they have completed the main storyline.
Not just that, Gold and Silver have, perhaps, the best storyline out of all the games currently.
Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver is slated to be released for the Nintendo DS, and will arrive in Japan this Fall. The US version is speculated to be released by Spring 2010.
This is not the first time that a Pokemon have been subjected to remakes. One of the earlier remakes is probably the Red and Green versions, where they have been remade to be played on the GBA. They were named Fire Red and Leaf Green.
