The world indeed has yanderes in it.
According to the authorities, the woman’s husband was dismissed as an assistant from Oda’s office, so she reportedly sent about one hundred messages that read “Die, Die” and similar words to Oda’s mobile phone from September to December of 2007.
Well, okay, I admit. While my application of such words wouldn’t be called the best of all expressions, but it seems that this woman just snapped when her husband got dismissed from office. Talk about crazy people.
Being a Mangaka sure has their own set of worries and troubles. I would hate to get “Die, Die” messages every few steps I take in the public. Another thing to note before I decide on what kind of work I would really want to do.
However, what interested me the most is probably how long the authorities took to get the person arrested. It’s reported that Oda has reported the incident to the authorities, but the arresting of the person only took place recently. I thought these little case’s evidence can easily be pieced together, but I can be wrong, since I’m not on the law enforcement side anyway.
But, over 100 messages of death threat? This woman is not growing up well! *coughs*
