Pokemon Remakes Retail Date Announced

Can’t wait for the remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver? Fear not, as the first people around the globe to receive it will be the Japanese, and they will be receiving it on September 12th.

Don’t know (how can you not know?!) what these remakes are about? You can check out the articles here, here and here.

The remakes, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver will be priced at about USD$50, which is almost the equalvient pricing of the ones that were released for the Gameboy Color. For the record, the Gameboy Color versions have sold about 23 million copies worldwide, making it one of the most successful games ever.

Also, all copies of Heart Gold and Soul Silver will be coming with a pedometer, dubbed as Poke Walker, which is designed to allow players to “train” their Pokemon while walking. You can find more information in this link.

I’m looking forward to this release. The GSC generation was probably my favorite. However, I still find the new names to be quite lame.

@Cooro: Everything’s more expensive in Japan. Overseas release will likely be the same price they always were.

No North America release date yet! Boo!
