The Playstation button symbol still remains! For some unexplained reason or another, the arcade version of Project DIVA has found itself to sport the same Playstation button symbol as it has in the PSP version. Well, I guess it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise anyway, since I doubt SEGA wants their players to try to adapt to the new symbols anyway.
As they say, why change something that is not broken, right? I was hoping that the touch-screen feature would be used, but it looks like the touch-screen is only used for selecting the songs, while there’s the buttons on the arcade cabinet itself.
Other than the Playstation symbol, majority of how Project DIVA plays out in the PSP is more or less identical to the arcade version. It looks like the arcade version will sport some sort of memory card feature, which will store individual’s data. Somewhat like how DJMax Technika and Jubeat is like. These cards will store VP, or Vocaloid Points, in which will be used to “buy” (or unlock) costumes as well as other characters of the Vocaloid series.
The arcade version is seems to sport some pretty amazing graphics. While everyone outside Japan is still used to the PSP’s graphics, Vocaloid fans would be treated to some pretty amazing details of Miku in the glorious 3D Project DIVA is to be!
I honestly can’t wait for the cabinet to come around in Singapore, although I can’t be sure if my wallet would agree with me…
