It wouldn’t be long till the PS3 dominates the other two...

Why of course, the PS3 Slim! Everyone’s anticipating for it and when it got released, everyone swarmed towards the retail shops to get their hands on the latest gadget from Sony.

Certainly, there’s no denying that the PS3 Slim is a huge success over it’s original one, the PS3. With so much anticipation and hype over the new PS3 Slim, everyone is grabbing it as the console of their choice when it comes to getting a brand new console. After all, the PS3 is probably is best console out there in terms of raw power.

However, while the PS3 Slim is a massive success for Sony, it seems that the retailers that are selling it aren’t making much of a success. A Japanese retailer had claimed that he is only making a profit of ¥700 (roughly translates into 7 USD) off the PS3 Slim sales.

The reason why this particular retailer is making so little money off the hardware is because these retailers buy the console from Sony and sell them at sticker pricing… which means, selling them off at suggested retail pricing. Of course, retailers have the choice of increasing their profits by selling it at a higher price, but one would have to wonder why these retailers are willing to sell them off at sticker pricing.

It’s unclear though, how the PS3 Slim is faring in comparison to the many consoles out there. However, we can expect PS3 Slim to dominate the console sales chart when it does come out, seeing that quite a number of people are really into the whole PS3 Slim thing.
