When you guys first bought the PSP-1000, you would have notice that the processing speed of the machine could actually go all the way to 333mhz. However, when PSP was young and all, everyone (or geeks) would have noticed that the PSP can only run at 222mhz, until the 3.50 Firmware update came out.

With the upcoming PSPGo, there’s a variety of mixed feelings about the introduction of such a system. However, it has been confirmed that the PSPGo will exist with the PSP-3000, therefore, people can actually consider this as a whole new system.

When the PSPGo is first announced, the processing specifications for the handheld console is about 333mhz. However, like the PSP-1000, according to the recently filed FCC documents, it seems that the small handheld console is able to bring out 480mhz worth of processing speed. What does this mean then? A 333mhz PSPGo that can actually perform 480mhz, why is Sony limiting the processing speed?

Who knows? The PSP 3.50 firmware update has bought about a whole load of difference to our gaming these days, such as improved graphics, improved framerates and stuffs like that. I just wonder if the sales of the PSPGo would be affected by this…
