Ragnarok Online DS Arriving In North America

ragnarok070407

Good news for all Ragnarok Online fans, as well as DS owners. Ragnarok Online DS will be making it’s appearance in North America very soon. By very soon, I mean it by this winter.

The Japanese counterpart of Ragnarok Online DS is highly successful in Japan, as Ragnarok Online remains to be one of the most well-known MMO in the Japanese market. Originally started out in Korea, Ragnarok Online is actually an adaptation of the original Ragnarok manga, that is written and illustrated by a Korean Manga artist. Ragnarok Online is probably more than 10 years old now, but it’s community and gameplay is still strong, much thanks to the massive amount of content it has (spanning over HUNDREDS of maps), as well as having some of the best MMO BGMs around in the whole MMO market.

Ragnarok Online DS is definitely not an online game, even with it’s title having “online” in it. Well, unless you could Wi-Fi capabilities that allows several players to band together, yeah, it doesn’t count as online as of yet.

Ragnarok Online DS utilizes the stylus a lot too. A lot of skills will require your stylus strokes, as well as targeting, and even moving of your character. While there some changes from the original game itself, majority of the core system of the game itself still remains. Things such as base level, job levels, job selections will still be present in the game. With lots of ways to customize your own character, and an original storyline, what’s not to like about this game?

Now, if only I’ve got a DS to play with too…
