キタ━━━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━━━!!!
I won’t kid with you. Seitokai no Ichizon is a gift from the heavens.
Well, that is, if you don’t mind all the random quotes as well as all the parody in the first episode, the first episode is actually pretty entertaining and impressive!
Starting off the episode with a bang, the anime simply introduces us to what they call… “Difference between medias” and stuffs like that. It’s not really important, since the whole anime itself is just mindless laughter from start to finish. This is the first time since Lucky Star that I’ve laughed so much at how utterly ridiculous and entertaining the anime is.
To make a long story short, we’ve got 4 females:
- Kurimu Sakurano — your typical moe helpless girl.
- Minatsu Shiina — tsundere.
- Chizuru Akaba — extremely Onee-sama like.
- Mafuyu Shiina — imouto like.
And they make up… well, the harem of the story. That is, according to Ken Sugisaki, the male protagonist of the series.
Does this look somewhat familiar to you?
Certainly, it’s not a bad thing. The first episode makes plenty of references to popular manga and animes these days, include the Dragonball movie adaptation that we hated so much. Some of the mentioned series includes Lucky Star, Haruhi, Clannad, Dragonball and Higurashi among the others.
The voice choices aren’t that bad either. The only character that would annoy people is probably Sakurano because of her extremely high pitched voice. But still, her moeness totally makes up for that and that’s probably the only redeeming point of her. Unless you’re into tsurupettans… well, that’s another story to tell.
Yep, that’s extremely obvious.
It’s a little difficult to convey the feelings when you watch the episode, simply because it’s just funny. Just that. Nothing else comes to mind because the whole episode was simply too simple and ridiculous, in a good way too.
While people may file this particular series under the carpet simply because of it’s unoriginality when it comes to the first episode due to the heavy amount of parodies that made, I must say that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing better than seeing 4 girls and a male MC face it off in making the ultimate harem… or something.
And yes, definitely looking forward to more episodes for this series!
