With the recent ending of Sengoku Basara, it seems the the second season is already being announced.

Not much information has been released, except the 2010 year which Sengoku Basara will have it’s second season. The previous character voices for both the game and anime will also be reprising their roles. Animation studio should remain the same too.

Sengoku Basara or Devil King when translated is actually a video game that’s based off the history of Japan during the bloody Warring States period. All the characters that were featured in the game are actual characters from history itself.

The first season contains 12 episodes, which has already all been aired. A 13th episode will be shipped together with the seventh DVD on Jan 2010.

Sengoku Basara is extremely popular, and since been adapted into an anime (like the one stated above), a manga, and even had made an appearance on rice bags. It is also said that Sengoku Basara had somewhat of an influence with Japanese’s growing interests in history of the Warring States. This has even spurred upon an increase of women interested in samurai-style patterned underwears!
