Sony Declares War With Microsoft With PS3 Slim

Looks like the Xbox 360 is ready for war!

It’s official. Before PS3 Slim had came out, Sony was entirely focused on the fact that PS3 is simply just a gaming console. Now that the PS3 Slim has arrived at people’s households now, Sony announces that they are moving their marketing plans to something they call as “total entertainment solution”, something that Microsoft is excelling in as of now.

Microsoft had envisioned the Xbox 360 as a platform where users could do all sorts of things on it. The ultimate home entertainment solution, not just some fanciful gaming console. This is evident through the implementation of twitter, facebook, netflix and all that kind of fancy stuff that keeps you entertained. Now that Sony is jumping into the same terrority as Microsoft, it’s more or less a declaration of war as both giants tries to wrestle the limited amount of consumers in the industry.

Sony had also boasted that the PS3 is the ultimate home console that is able to play Blu-Ray, provide the greatest gaming experience as well as the best movie downloading system around. Sounds like Microsoft is in trouble, as Sony provides online service absolutely free of charge while Xbox Live requires you to have a paid membership to gain access to a good majority of the services online.

One has to wonder how would Microsoft react to such a declaration. Give the PS3 enough time, I’m sure the Xbox 360 wouldn’t last long in the console scene at all…

Yeah, Hellsing. Since Sony is going ahead with total entertainment solution, the console war between Microsoft and Sony is gonna get extremely ugly as both of them tries to out do each other with more features.
