Sora no Woto, or translated as Sounds to the Skies, has recently received a whooping 136 seconds trailer on the series’s official website. The trailer is the same trailer that has been released to the press on Tuesday during a conference to formally announce the series.
Sora no Woto follows quite a unique storyline, to say least. The story is set long in the future where the world has seen many wars and has settled into a quiet decline. The story begins as Kanata Kumika, a 15-year-old girl who enlists with the army, was assigned to a unit of five girls as they defend a fortress. It also seems that music would play an important part of the series, since the series has some pretty heavy emphasis on the girls playing music across lands from their fortress.
The production team is also made up of quite a number of well-known figures too. Ranging from staffers from Kannagi, Macross Frontie, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and even Elfen Lied, I’m sure we can expect great quality work from these guys.
Sora no Woto will be a TV series that will be released at about January 2010. Quite a distance away, if you ask me. But still, after watching the trailer, I’m rather interested. However, the theme of war and girls aren’t exactly my type of things…
