Super Street Fighter 4 Confirmed, 8 New Fighters

Looks fun.

It seems like the rumours were true after all. Street Fighter 4 will be getting an update soon, and it will be titled as “Super Street Fighter 4″.

What’s so “super” about this particular Street Fighter is that EIGHT new fighters will be making an appearance in the game, and we’ve already seen two of them. The third to be revealed is a fighter called Dee Jay from the previous Street Fighters. No screenshots of the character design in SF4 as of yet, though.

Other changes in the Super version includes some updates that would rebalance some characters as well as fixing other stuffs in the game. Not a very big change, therefore Capcom is not going to charge the full price. However, we can expect Super Street Fighter 4 to have it’s own arcade cabinet (or every single existing SF4 cabinet upgrades to super version) and this Super version will be arriving on the PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year.

    street fighter four is a dissapointment it seems like the gameplay was traded for better graphics.. where is evil ryu? what happened to the extensive super moves each character had.. what happened to the combo system.. if you think im wrong, blow the dust off your ps2 and play alpha 3 and note that air block is available and also the juggling system allows for more combinations, if capcom is gonna come out with another street fighter they only need to update the graphics of older versions(alpha 3) keep the gameplay in tact.. and also add the air combo system (marvel vs street fighter). instead of removing content- 8 characters is good.. but it doesnt come close to the idea of a re appearance by every single character that was ever mentioned in street fighter would be even more awesome
