Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu 2 — I’m Sorry, KyoAni — Episode 6

An accurate representation by a commenter.

Frankly speaking, Episode 6 is still the same the previous few ones. Yes, we’re still stuck on Endless Eight.

While we’re still on the topic of endless eight, there had been some talks about it being 6 and 8 episodes long. If that’s true, which looks rather possible if the season is going through like that, that means we’ve effectively used up all the second season episodes that has been allocated to us.

Bad news? Of course it is! Whatever that is going to happen later in the story might just get pushed all the way back into the next season.

However, I did remember something with regards first season. The last episode for the first season should take place somewhere further than the 3rd light novel. If the anime is going the chronological manner now, it should mean that the last episode for this “second” season would be something else other than the first season’s ending. It’s just a guess, who knows what Kadokawa would want KyoAni to do when the endless eight is over.

And oh, talking about Kadokawa now, while KyoAni indeed are the ones that are animating the anime, it seems that Kadokawa is the mastermind behind all of this. There’s a rumour about what Kadokawa has planned, you can check it out below:

Original Source via here.

Umm… I guess it’s okay now?
Endless Eight was organized and produced as 6 episodes.
Kadokawa’s back sponsor got furious and after it was too late (production had finished), the producer was fired.
There was a ton of confusion over whether they were going to skip the produced 4th and 5th episodes and air the 6th.

By the way, the 6 ep organization was Kadokawa’s instructions.
The fired producer was a scape goat to appease the angry back sponsors.
Kadokawa’s ultimate goal was to blow smoke over the fans by having 12 episodes that would consist of E8, Sigh, and a new/re-organized Mikuru’s adventure.
And the Disappearance source material they had pulled from remains exactly that: source material.
Currently Kadokawa does not feel like animating Disappearance [yet/still]

This gives the feeling that the purpose of this new production is simply to pull money from the fans as they move the series from DVD to BD.

It might be true. However, all of these should be taken with a grain of salt as it’s still rumours. However, if this is true… it’s a bloody conspiracy by Kadokawa!

I’m sorry KyoAni. I should have trusted you. *sniffles*

There had also been talks about if Kadokawa wants to extend the amount of episodes in this season. While I highly doubt the possibility of having more episodes, it’s still rather probable. Regardless of what’s going to happen, we’re still at the mercy of Kadokawa’s trolling, so there isn’t much for us to do, except pray and… well, you can flame Kadokawa if you want.

Setting aside all that talk, the animation for this particular episode is still top-notch. Despite repeating for the past 5 episodes, the quality of the animation had not dropped, which is still a good thing. I’m rather amazed that KyoAni would actually animate the whole calculator thing when Kyon was calculating the amount of years that they had experienced.

And of course, screencaps for the entire episode. Nothing special, unlike episode 4. I don’t know, but this particular episode seems better than the other episodes for some reasons.

Oh wait, we’re on the fifth episode of endless eight?! Just one more to go, guys! Bear with them!

And Mikuru has Luffy’s hat!

I just finished watching that episode, and i got so emo i was about to toss my tower through my windows, thank god for Bakemonogatari, it didnt happen, it was close, but no.

It has to end, please let it end, i get it that we have the same dejavu feeling like itsuki, we should all feel the pain that kyon experiences that we are powerless to change it, and we could only observe like yuki in that situation, and every time we found out its the loop ep we would cry like Mikaru…

we get it, its the masterpiece in the making, i have never feel so much alike to the anime characters, and 4 of them at the same time!

    Sarcasm end.

PS: ppl have gave season 1 enough hypes and this junk fall among us, its karma.

This anime franchise has been a marketing ploy to milk anime fans from day one. Unfortunately, way to many people elevated it to some sort of pseudo-religious state and went on about the brilliance of how the series was aired (while expressing confusion that the DVD’s would be released in chronological order). The powers that be were looking for something new for people to call brilliant and wonderful but apparently it isn’t working so well.

    You trusted KyoAni? TRUSTED?!

They may claim that the mastermind is kadokawa, but the real mastermind is actually them. Think about it, they have to check the quality of the animation first before airing it. But the buggers just release it.

Coporate bastards are milking us, so they are as wrong as kadokawa! I call for blood shed! We must have their blood to quench our wrath…!

    Oh wait…This isn’t 2chan.
