Because you’ve experienced the same thing for the past 597 years.
I opened up Episode 5, feverishly praying that it was the finale of the Endless Eight, but alas, my prayers weren’t answered and we’re still stuck with what happened since Episode 2.
Same thing, over and over again. Endless Eight proves to be an extreme case of a filler, or just a way of Kyoto Animation to troll us. I mean, seriously, it’s 4 episodes of the same content, repeated again and again. Who the hell wouldn’t get bored of that?
However, Episode 5 does show some rather significant change from the last 3 episodes. Kyon gets closer and closer towards realising the time loop each episode, although he still has not figured out what is the thing that Haruhi had wanted to accomplish before the Summer Vacation comes to an end.
The episode ends with a slight change, as Kyon doodles a paper plane on his homework, knowing that the time will keep looping. Ladies and Gentlemen, this might signify the end of the Endless Eight. While I’m not exactly a fan of repeated stuff, there’s something telling me that Episode 6 will finally be the end of this repeating crap.
Congratulations Kyoto Animation, you’ve just attained god-level of trollhood. You just trolled everyone who watched the show for a good 4 episodes, so just get on with it and move onto the next story, please.
The good thing about this particular episode is that Kyon’s sister gets more lines! That inspired me to grab screencaps!
And oh, the first time we get to see Kyon in a cap. Looks pretty decent.
I wonder how much hate these 4 episodes can generate. I mean, seriously, 4 episodes is a lot of content, and to think that all of them are wasted on a single story that is only one single chapter in the book. Geez.
