While the anime version of Tales of the Abyss has just recently ended, it seems that it’s about to receive yet another manga adaptation based on the character — Jade.

Tales of the Abyss is originally a PS2 game, where the main male protagonist is suddenly attacked by a mysterious female, and caused something called a hyperresonance, which teleports both of them somewhere far from the place they clashed at.

Tales of the Abyss has also been adapted into a 26-episodes anime, which follows closely to the events that happened in the PS2 game. Tales of the Abyss has also been adapted into a form of manga, which 2 volumes has been released.

The Tales series has also been adapted into plenty of animes, such as Tales of Phantasia, Eternia as well as Symphonia. However, Phantasia and Eternia did not follow as close as Abyss did.

The above-mentioned tales series with the exception of Phantasia has also been adapted into a manga.

And ah, Jade, one of the funniest character in the game (tales of the abyss), mainly because of the fact that he is kind of a troll. Making jokes out of others, as well as being a pain in the ass sometimes, Jade is probably one of my favourite characters in the whole game.

It would be rather interesting to see how the manga unfolds, as I’m pretty interested in how Jade became the person he is in the game. The game did not reveal much about his past.

For some reasons, it seems that Abyss gets the most love out of all the Tales series… I could be wrong on that though.

However, it’s undeniable that the Tales series is some of the best jRPG games out there, and if you have yet to play them, you should!

That reminds me, I should bug Renako to let me play the PS2…
