Tales of Vesperia PS3 Sells Through The Roof, PS3 Sales Trend Broken

NewsSuggest_BHX27G4E

The latest Tales game to arrive on the PS3 Platform is the Tales of Vesperia. Initially as a Xbox 360 only game, Tales of Vesperia has been adapted into the PS3 platform with more features than ever, and it’s definitely a set back for most Xbox 360 players.

With the release of the game in Japan, it seems that the game has enjoyed great success thus far. Extreme great success to be precise.

According to the charts released by website Shinobi, the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia has gathered an amazing 147,000 copies of sales in just the release day alone. This effectively places the game as the top seller in the whole 12 titles of the Tales series. If you’re interested, the Xbox 360 version had only gathered a miserable 70,000 copies of sales on the first day.

Below is the figures for the first-day sales volume of the different Tales games released in Japan:

Tales of Vesperia (PS3): 147,000
Radiant Mythology 2: 135,000
Tales of Hearts: 121,000
Tales of Symphonia Dawn of The New World: 120,00
Tales of VS: 89,000
Tales of Innocence: 76,000
Tales of Vesperia (Xbox 360): 71,000

Congratulation to Sony, it seems that they have found a gem for their console. Recent trends have shown that most PS3 ports of games from the Xbox 360 generally suffers from bad sales, but it seems that Tales of Vesperia have proven otherwise. Does this mean that the PS3 is gaining popularity soon?

Or does it mean otherwise for the Xbox 360?
