Sorry for the confusing headline, but it can’t be helped, seeing that I’m equally confused why L4D would be making an appearance in TF2. However, when Valve says that it’s possible, I guess it should be possible in one way or another.

According to Valve, this is absolutely not a L4D2 gimmick at all. It seems that Bill’s hat had dropped off a table while the Team Fortress 2 people were conducting a science experiment on parallel dimensions. And there you have it, why Bill’s hat would be appearing in your Team Fortress 2 game soon enough. What Valve didn’t tell us is why exactly that only pre-orders will have this Bill’s hat. Guess we’ll never find out!
