Thinking About Making Your Own RPG?

You don’t need to go to that extreme to make one now!

Have you guys ever thought about creating your own RPG, but don’t have the necessary experience to do it or even don’t want to have the hassle of coding one from scratch? Well, there’s actually a program called the RPG Maker out there, and the latest revision in the whole RPG Maker line-up is the RPG Maker DS.

RPG Maker DS is set to be the newest RPG making program in the whole of the RPG Maker line-up. The current RPG Maker is VX. What this little program could do is to allow would-be RPG creators to start on their RPG as soon as possible, with as little hassle as possible.

However, it is said that the DS version will be set to a later date due to the desire to improve the quality of the program itself. As many would have known, RPG Makers are usually bundled with several preset sprite sheets and character profiles as well as some sample BGM, SE or even SFX, so the delay might be that they are reworking on all of these. The original release date was dated to be January 28, and will be released on March 11 due to the delay.

If you haven’t tried making your RPG with this fine tool, I would highly suggest you do. It’s completely easy to use, and you might want to check out a project that the NotCliche Team did few years with RPG Maker XP (an older version of RPG Maker).

She is awesome at Life Force to have that many bits like 1 minute into the game, and the laser. Just saying.

I dream of making own games since I was a kid. I took up 3D course but end up as a web developer. Lol. 3D market or field is still weak. There’s too much high cost to produce something which lot of client / company try to avoid.
